Set against the open green expanse of historic Patterson Park along South Linwood Avenue, the Patterson Park Tennis Courts serve as a core recreational tennis hub in East Baltimore. The facility features 10 outdoor hard courts surrounded by perimeter fencing and equipped with overhead lighting for evening matches. Maintained in coordination with Baltimore City Recreation and Parks and active neighborhood sports associations, the courts host regular singles games, organized doubles ladders, and social rallies throughout the week. Access for casual players operates largely on a first-come, first-served basis, while local clinics and adult leagues operate on reserved permit schedules. The courts draw players from surrounding neighborhoods including Canton, Highlandtown, and Butcher's Hill, providing reliable court surfaces and a steady local playing community for competitive matches and practice sessions.
