Located along East Upriver Drive in Spokane, Minnehaha Climbing Rocks serves as a foundational outdoor climbing hub in Eastern Washington. This historic granite crag features over 70 established routes, spanning top-rope anchors, traditional crack lines, and technical bouldering problems rated from 5.6 to 5.13. The rock face offers solid, coarse-grained granite with natural friction, crimps, and fixed anchor stations. Managed as part of the Spokane Parks and Recreation system, access is open to the public without entry fees or reservation requirements. Local climbers regularly gather here on clear afternoons and weekends, fostering an active and supportive outdoor community. The base areas are reachable via short dirt approach trails right off the parking area, making it practical for both quick after-work sessions and full-day training blocks.
