Housed within the Victorian structure of St Werburgh's Church, The Climbing Academy's dedicated roped climbing centre delivers one of Bristol's most distinctive climbing environments. Towering lead and top-rope lines rise directly alongside historic stone arches and stained-glass windows, catering to route climbers of varied skill levels. The venue features dozens of rope lines, auto-belay stations, and a dedicated training mezzanine. Routes are reset regularly by experienced route setters, providing fresh challenges across a wide range of grades from introductory lines to technical endurance tests. Beyond the climbing walls, The Church functions as a central hub for the local Bristol climbing community, complete with an on-site cafe serving hot drinks and snacks. Bookings for inductions, taster sessions, and general rope passes can be managed online through the TCA system, while registered autonomous climbers can drop in directly.
