University Of Colorado Boulder Recreation Center

Located in the heart of campus, the University of Colorado Boulder Recreation Center serves as a major hub for indoor climbing and multi-sport training in Boulder. The facility's centerpiece for climbers is its dedicated climbing gym, featuring a multi-story top-rope and lead wall alongside an extensive bouldering area with varied angles and regular route resets. Climbers across all skill levels share the floor, creating an active, campus-driven community where students, faculty, and local climbing enthusiasts train year-round. Beyond the climbing gym, the complex houses comprehensive strength training zones, multiple indoor pools, basketball courts, and an indoor ice arena. Entry is included for eligible CU Boulder students, while university affiliates, alumni, and sponsored community guests can purchase day passes or extended memberships through the campus recreation portal or front desk.
