West Romig Tennis Courts

Located on the joint campus of West Anchorage High School and Romig Middle School, the West Romig Tennis Courts provide outdoor tennis infrastructure for local Anchorage players. The facility features regulation hard courts configured for singles and doubles play. During late spring, summer, and early autumn, the courts host Anchorage School District team practices, regional high school meets, and open community recreation. Because the venue sits on school district grounds, court availability revolves around the academic calendar and school sports fixtures; outside of scholastic training blocks and official matches, the courts operate on a walk-on, first-come basis. The layout delivers a straightforward athletic setting with perimeter chain-link fencing, baseline runoffs, and clear court markings. Players frequently gather here for casual weekend sets, groundstroke drilling, and informal community matches throughout the long daylight hours of the Alaskan summer.
