The Mitchell Center

Located on the University of South Alabama campus in Mobile, The Mitchell Center sports grounds anchor collegiate and regional athletic activity. The outdoor hard tennis courts accommodate competitive intercollegiate matches, recreational play, and local tennis ladders. Built with regulation surfacing, the courts deliver a true, medium-fast ball bounce and dependable footing for baseline rallies and net play. The setting offers an energetic collegiate atmosphere, complete with perimeter fencing, court divider netting, and open sightlines for spectators. Outside of official South Alabama athletics schedules, the courts host campus tournaments, clinics, and organized practice sessions. Court availability and booking are coordinated through the university athletic and campus recreation departments. Its central location on Old Shell Road makes it a familiar, accessible tennis hub for students, faculty, and Mobile tennis players.
