Heeley Small Climbing Boulder

Located on Oak Street within Heeley's community parkland, the Heeley Small Climbing Boulder offers Sheffield climbers a compact outdoor training feature right on the edge of the Steel City. Built from textured artificial rock, this free-to-use boulder provides low-level problems, traversing lines, and warm-up holds for local boulderers heading out towards the Peak District or fitting in a quick session after work. As part of Sheffield's deep climbing culture, the atmosphere is informal and welcoming, often frequented by neighbourhood climbers, youths, and dog walkers passing through the park. With no turnstiles, ticket desks, or booking requirements, you can simply walk up and start climbing whenever daylight allows. The surrounding grassy banks provide an easy spot to drop a bouldering pad, stretch out, and work through route variations alongside fellow climbers in an open-air public setting.
