George R. Brown Tennis Center

Located on the Rice University campus, the George R. Brown Tennis Center serves as the competitive home for Rice Owls NCAA Division I tennis while hosting collegiate invitationals, youth camps, and regional tournaments. The complex features 14 outdoor hard courts laid with post-tension concrete surfaces that deliver reliable, true-bouncing ball response across competitive sets and training sessions. Six varsity match courts sit directly beneath elevated grandstand seating for spectators, complemented by an additional eight-court secondary bank. Musco LED sports illumination extends playing schedules well into warm Texas evenings. While primarily dedicated to intercollegiate competition and university athletics, the venue regularly accommodates junior development clinics, summer camps, and sanctioned amateur events. Players benefit from spacious sideline setbacks, clear divider fencing, and shaded player benches, making it one of the premier collegiate tennis environments in Houston.
