Based at the Sport Wales National Centre in Pontcanna, Badminton Wales serves as the governing hub and premier training location for the sport across the country. The centre provides specialist indoor sports halls equipped with tournament-spec sprung timber floors and regulated court markings. The atmosphere brings together international athletes, regional squad players, and local club members participating in structured leagues and development sessions. Court hire, club programmes, and squad training sessions can be booked directly through Badminton Wales and the Sport Wales Centre management system. With high ceilings and clear lighting contrast, the courts cater to fast-paced singles and doubles play year-round. Players benefit from an active sporting community that supports competitive pathways as well as recreational participation in central Cardiff.

Located within Sophia Gardens, the centre is a 15-minute walk from Cardiff Central station. On-site pay-and-display parking and dedicated bicycle racks are available outside the main reception.

Shuttlecocks and tournament-grade equipment are available on site during sanctioned sessions. Players are advised to bring their own competition rackets and non-marking indoor court shoes.
