S E Tennis & Learning Center

Located in Congress Heights, the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center (SETLC) is a cornerstone of Washington, DC tennis. Established through a partnership between the District of Columbia and the Recreation Wish List Committee, the venue serves competitive juniors, neighborhood adults, and recreational players. The center features six outdoor hard courts and a six-court indoor arena named after Venus and Serena Williams, allowing year-round training and match play regardless of winter temperatures or rain. Beyond physical court time, SETLC integrates academic tutoring with high-level tennis instruction, fostering a focused and community-centered environment. Players regularly gather for USTA junior tournaments, evening adult clinics, round-robins, and summer training camps. Court reservations and clinic registrations are managed through the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) online system alongside the SETLC welcome desk, giving local players reliable access to indoor and outdoor court space.
