Marymoor Climbing Wall

Located within King County's Marymoor Park in Redmond, the Marymoor Climbing Wall stands as one of the Pacific Northwest's classic outdoor public climbing structures. Built from textured hollow-core concrete, this 35-foot freestanding tower features realistic cracks, arêtes, ledges, and vertical faces designed to simulate natural rock formations. Local climbers gather here year-round for top-roping, sport lead climbing, crack technique practice, and low-level bouldering traverses. As a non-commercial, county-managed facility, access is free and operates entirely on a first-come, first-served basis during standard park hours. The wall fosters a dedicated grassroots climbing community where partners frequently swap belays and trade beta. Because it is an open-air venue exposed to Pacific Northwest weather, dry days draw regular traffic from climbers throughout Redmond, Bellevue, and Seattle looking for outdoor training without traveling deep into the Cascade foothills.
