The Climbing Wall at EAC

Situated inside Evanston Athletic Club in downtown Evanston, The Climbing Wall at EAC provides dedicated indoor climbing terrain for North Shore residents and the Northwestern University community. The facility features tall vertical faces, steep overhangs, top-rope anchors, and a compact bouldering zone with regularly reset problems graded across the V-scale and Yosemite Decimal System. The atmosphere is community-centered and focused, with local climbers running laps, working through technical beta, and cross-training. EAC's climbing area integrates auto-belay units alongside traditional partner belay stations, accommodating solo climbers and pairs alike. Access is organized through EAC club memberships as well as daily guest passes purchased at the front desk. Climbers wishing to manage their own ropes must complete a mandatory belay safety check administered by the on-duty wall staff.
