Carlton Courts

Set atop Carlton Road on Case Western Reserve University's South Campus, Carlton Courts offers outdoor hard-court tennis to students, staff, and University Circle neighborhood players. The venue features multiple standard hard courts equipped with regulation perimeter fencing and court nets. The atmosphere is unpretentious and focused squarely on game time, serving as a frequent spot for casual pickup singles, weekend doubles, and intramural practice. Tucked near the top of the hill, the courts catch prevailing breezes and afternoon sun throughout spring, summer, and early autumn. Because the setup is entirely outdoors, play is weather-dependent and typically winds down before dusk. Court usage generally operates on a first-come, first-served basis outside of designated university programming, making it a straightforward, functional neighborhood spot for practicing groundstrokes and playing sets without club membership fees.
